The Broken West reunite with an old friend!

Last night at The Broken West show in Chapel Hill, the band reunited with a long-lost companion. Scott Claassen was last seen biking the length of Cuba, but he showed up last night for a very special occasion - to play with his old bandmates on "Down In the Valley," the track he co-wrote with Ross!

The Broken West have a few more dates left until they hunker down in LA for a while, so don't miss them!

Stream the DC Spoon concert online!

SPOON plays the 9:30 Club in DC tonight! For those of you not lucky enough to make it, the kind folks at NPR have scheduled a LIVE BROADCAST tonight! An interview with the band will air at 7:30, and the show goes live at 8pm! Tune in tonight for the entire concert!

If you'd rather park yourself in front of the TV tonight, Reaper will feature songs from two Merge artists: Spoon's "The Underdog" and Imperial Teen's "Shim Sham"!

Another momentous TV event: SPOON on SNL re-airs THIS Saturday, October 27!

Must See - MERGE TV (Spoon & Shout Out Louds)

Just a reminder kids, don't forget to tune in or set your tivo/DVRs for Spoon's appearance this weekend on Saturday Night Live. Seth Rogan is the host, so it should be a great episode. There's just got to be a Freaks And Geeks skit, right? Go ahead and make it a party - pop some popcorn, chill some Fresca and invite your friends over!

But Spoon is not the only Merge band rockin' the airwaves in the next few days. Shake off your back-to-the-work-week-blues with Shout Out Louds on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, this coming Monday night (10/08/07).

And then Spoon returns to NBC in a couple of weeks with an appearance on Late Night With Conan O'Brien, Thursday, October 18th. The boys from Austin then score the late night sweep with their own appearance on the Late Late Show in early November (date to be confirmed).

Amazing stuff. Must See TV for sure.

Following up on their 10 year anniversary tribute to Radiohead's OK COMPUTER (OKX) earlier this year, the folks over at Stereogum have come back with a 15 Year Anniversary tribute to REM's Automatic For The People - DRIVEXV. Free downloads from some of your favorite indie-rockers and their take on tracks from the album. Including a brilliant cover of Man In The Moon from our very own Shout Out Louds. Imperial Teen on the Radio!

Imperial Teen are in the midwest this weekend, and are stopping by some of our favorite radio stations!

KEXP will be setting up camp in Chicago this weekend, and Imperial Teen are dropping by for an instudio at 11am CST this Thursday, October 4th. Tune in live, and if you are in Chicago go see them at The Abbey later that night!

Next, Imperial Teen will visit KCMP in lovely St. Paul, MN. That's near Dinkytown, right? They'll hang out and play a few songs live on air beginning at 4pm CST. Listen live, and check them out at 7th Street Entry that night!
