San Francisco Adventure!

Lindsey and I making the best of our delayed flight.

Lindsey & I headed to San Francisco for a whirlwind 3 day trip! We managed to pack in visits to some of the best radio stations in the country in between amazing meals AND most importantly, we got to meet the guys and gal of Shout Out Louds!

The Shout Out Louds played the famous Popscene at Rickshaw Stop. The place was packed and full of sweat! We had never seen Shout Out Louds play before and felt super-cool knowing all of the new songs! The crowd loved every minute despite the oppressive heat and the band were a blast despite spending 5 hrs on the NYC runway trying to make it to the show!

Stay tuned to our website and the band's myspace page for more tour announcements and new songs from their forthcoming release, Our Ill Wills. And get your copy of the new ep (with video!), Tonight I Have to Leave It!

Jen, Lindsey, Kate & I share Hooka Love!

We arrived in San Fran early Tuesday morning and headed to the headquarters of our friend Jennifer Daunt of Dauntless Promotion. We finished the evening off with some hooka action. haha! A first for the ladies of this radio dept!
Tyler working hard @ KALX!
Benji showing off his fantastic restaurant!

Wednesday took us to Berkeley to visit our friends at KALX. Tyler, music director extraordinaire, showed us around the station and pointed out The Clientele & Spoon in heavy, mega, rotation! That's just what we like to see! Then, we went visit former KALX md and current proprietor of Sea Salt Restaurant , Benji Lawless. We were treated like VIPs and ate more than was good for us!

The delicious lunch merely helped us stretch out in preparation for the giant Thai feast we shared with the Shout Out Louds! They are great people, and I hope you are all preparing yourselves to rock out this fall!
Live 105 Arcade Fire desktop in the control room!

Thursday, we ventured to Live 105 & KFOG to say hello. We grabbed another amazing feast at Nihon and caught the plane back for a disco nap prior to standing in line for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! Whew.

Thanks to Jen & Kate, Aaron Axelsen, Kelly Ransford, Kim Chun, KALX crew, Jim Spizirri & the # 71 bus for making our trip such a fun & successful one! We hope to have many more adventures to share soon!

Gratuitous "Harry Trotter" photo!
